Online Oud Lesson (One on One)

Service Description

This course is for intermediate and advanced levels. Being able to tune your "oud" and have some background in Arabic music is a must. These online Oud lessons aim to rebuild a new perspective of the instrument, by playing and tasting for the Arabic old school. It creates also a new approach to communicating with the instrument itself. At first, the focus will be on developing skills and securing more the "Risha" (pic) in the right hand while playing. Second, the practice should overcome the difficulties of moving between strings during fast playing. In addition to fixing fingers of the left hand while playing on the neck of the Oud. Third, after "Risha" exercises and fingers flexibility, the flow will lead to better development of Arabic Maqamat positions (Scales), In addition to playing multiple traditional forms using most of the Arab modes. finally, after overcoming most of the technical difficulties, the focus will aim to result in improvisation level, interpretation, and create forms of melodies in multiple musical contexts.

Booking Cancellation Please be aware of our cancellation policy. When you book your class/session, you are holding space on our calendar that is no longer available to our students. Our goal for prior booking is to provide quality teaching music that caters to all our clients in a timely manner. If cancellation is necessary, we require that you contact us at least 24 hours in advance. Late Cancellations/No-Shows A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is canceled less than 24 hours before the appointed time. A no-show is when a student misses an appointment without canceling. In either case, we will charge the student the full amount of the missed appointment fee.
